Privacy Policy

Klumbo is a local application. All image processing happens on your Mac. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or images.

All your photos stay on your Mac
All AI processing happens locally on your device
No cloud upload of images
No analytics or tracking
No user accounts or registration

File Access

Klumbo requires access to the folders you grant permission to. When you open an image, it is loaded into memory for editing. When you use "Save", you choose where to save the edited image. The original file is not modified unless you overwrite it yourself.

In-App Purchases

Klumbo credit purchases are processed through the Mac App Store. Apple handles all payment processing. We do not have access to your payment information.

Klumbo Credits — How It Works

Klumbo uses a credit-based system. Each image you import into the editor costs 1 credit. This applies to every image, whether it is the first image you open or an additional layer added to the workspace.

What Costs a Credit

Opening an image — Loading any image into the editor consumes 1 credit
Adding a layer — Each additional image added as a layer consumes 1 credit

For example, if you open one image and add two more as layers, you will use 3 credits total. Each image costs 1 credit regardless of its size, format, or resolution.

What Is Free (No Credits Required)

Once an image is imported, all editing operations on that image are included at no additional cost. This includes all AI-powered features and standard editing tools: Remove Background, Enhance, Upscale, Erase, Fill, Relocate (Extract Subject), Crop, Repair, Filters, Rotate, Flip, Resize, Text Layers, and any other editing feature available in the application.

Credit Packages

Credits are available for purchase through the Mac App Store in the following packages:

Pricing is determined by Apple and may vary by country or region. Current prices are displayed in the Mac App Store.

Free Trial

New users receive 10 free credits upon first launch. This allows you to try the full application with 10 images before making a purchase. The free trial is granted once per device and cannot be reset by reinstalling the application.

Credit Terms

Credits are consumed immediately when an image is imported into the editor
Credits are non-refundable once consumed
Credits are stored locally on this device only and cannot be transferred between devices
Credits do not expire — unused credits remain available indefinitely
Deleting an image from the workspace does not refund the credit used to import it
Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation
If you uninstall and reinstall the application, your credit balance may be lost; the developer is not responsible for credits lost due to reinstallation, device failure, or operating system changes
The developer reserves the right to modify credit packages, pricing, and the number of credits included in each package at any time; existing purchased credits will not be affected by pricing changes

Refund Policy

All credit purchases are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policies. The developer does not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

How the Application Works

Klumbo is a professional image editor with AI-powered features. All processing is performed locally on your device. Images are loaded into memory for editing and saved to a location of your choice. The original file is not modified unless you choose to overwrite it.

Once an image is imported, all editing operations on that image are included at no additional cost. Undoing an image import does not refund the credit consumed for that import.

Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using Klumbo, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.

License

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Klumbo for personal and commercial use on any Mac you own or control, subject to the Mac App Store terms of service.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Klumbo only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the images you edit and the content you create using this application.

Restrictions

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
You may not extract or redistribute the included ML models for use outside this application
You may not redistribute, sublicense, or resell the software
You may not attempt to manipulate, bypass, or circumvent the credit system
You may not use automated tools or scripts to interact with the application in order to avoid credit consumption

Use of the open-source models (U²-Net, Real-ESRGAN, LaMa) inside Klumbo is subject to their respective licenses (Apache 2.0, BSD 3-Clause); the above restrictions apply to your use of this application and its bundle.

Changes to These Terms

The developer reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes become effective when the updated terms are published on this page. Continued use of the application after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

Limitation of Liability

Klumbo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this software. AI processing results may vary and are provided without guarantee of accuracy or quality. The developer makes no warranty that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania and the European Union. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the application shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.
