AlyDeejay — Professional DJ App for Mac, iPhone & iPad

Short version: AlyDeejay processes your music, analysis, stems, and performance data locally on your compatible Mac, iPhone, or iPad. The Developer operates no user account or app backend and does not receive your music library. Core DJ and audio functions work offline. An internet connection to Apple may be required for StoreKit and, on Mac, the first activation of Stems; your audio is not sent to the Developer during activation. The free trial lasts 14 calendar days across AlyDeejay under the same Apple Account. Master Recording and Percussion Lab generation are available only on Mac; Master Recording requires the Lifetime unlock.

1. Scope, Acceptance & Apple Standard EULA

AlyDeejay (the "App") is distributed through Apple's App Store for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS and is licensed, not sold. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA") is the primary license agreement for the App. These Supplemental Terms describe App-specific rules, functionality, privacy practices, and responsibilities and supplement, rather than replace, the Apple Standard EULA.

By downloading, installing, starting the trial, purchasing, or using the App, you accept the Apple Standard EULA and, to the extent permitted by law, these Supplemental Terms. Mandatory rights granted by applicable law always prevail over any conflicting provision.

2. Developer & Contact Identity

The App is developed and provided by Sorin Nae ("Developer", "we", or "us"). Public seller and trader information applicable to your territory is also displayed by Apple on the App Store product page.

3. App Functionality & System Requirements

AlyDeejay is a professional DJ application for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. Its shared performance workflow includes two-deck mixing, waveforms, beatgrids, sync, EQ, effects, on-device stem separation, hot cues, loops, local library management, sampler pads, Automix, Harmonic Live recommendations, and MIDI control. Platform-specific functions differ: Master Recording, Percussion Lab generation, session History, tag editing, and keyboard shortcut mapping are available on Mac; sampler kits and the core deck, library, analysis, stems, FX, Automix, and MIDI workflow remain available on supported iPhone and iPad devices.

Version 7.0 requires either an Apple Silicon Mac (arm64) running macOS 15.6 or later or a compatible iPhone or iPad running iOS/iPadOS 18.0 or later. Some functions also require compatible audio hardware, USB-C data and power arrangements, storage space, MIDI devices, drivers, file-provider access, or supported audio formats. Compatibility information provided on the App Store product page and in release notes forms part of the product description. Compatibility with every controller, audio interface, cable, hub, driver, file provider, file, or future operating-system release is not guaranteed.

4. License & Permitted Professional Use

Subject to the Apple Standard EULA and these Supplemental Terms, you may use the App for personal use and professional DJ work, including paid performances.

You may use the App's built-in sampler sounds and rhythm patterns as part of live performances and mixed recordings created with AlyDeejay. You may not extract, resell, sublicense, publish, or redistribute built-in sounds, loops, proprietary files, interface assets, or rhythm content in isolated form, as a competing product, or as a standalone sample pack.

Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not:

Copy, modify, sublicense, sell, rent, or redistribute the App or any proprietary component;
Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass protection, or attempt to extract source code, proprietary components, or proprietary assets;
Use the App or its components for an unlawful purpose or remove proprietary notices;
Use built-in content to train, reproduce, or create a competing software product or content library.

5. 14-Day Trial, Lifetime Unlock & Refunds

The free trial lasts 14 calendar days and begins when you activate it through Apple's StoreKit flow. The trial is represented by the same AlyDeejay StoreKit product on supported Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices; it is not intended to restart separately for each platform when the same Apple Account and entitlement are recognized by Apple. During the trial, the App's available DJ, stems, sampler, library, MIDI, and performance functions may be used on each supported platform. Master Recording is available only on Mac, is excluded from the trial, and requires the Lifetime unlock. When the trial expires, the App locks until a valid Lifetime entitlement is purchased or restored.

AlyDeejay Pro — Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase with no subscription and no recurring developer charge. "Lifetime" means a non-expiring unlock for the App under the purchasing Apple Account on supported AlyDeejay platforms; it does not promise perpetual hardware or operating-system compatibility, perpetual availability on the App Store, or support for every future macOS, iOS, or iPadOS version.

Apple processes the trial product, purchase, price, taxes, payment details, entitlement, device eligibility, Family Sharing availability, and refund workflow. The Developer does not receive your payment-card information. Restore Purchases requires a compatible device, the purchasing Apple Account, and access to Apple's services. Refund requests are processed by Apple, without limiting any mandatory legal rights you may have against Apple or the Developer.

6. App Privacy — No Developer Backend or Tracking

The Developer operates no account system or backend server for AlyDeejay. The App does not upload your music, recordings, playlists, cue points, stems, kits, MIDI mappings, library database, location, advertising identifier, or usage history to the Developer.

The App contains no advertising network, third-party analytics SDK, behavioral tracking, or Developer-operated telemetry. Audio analysis, stem separation, waveform generation, playback, and the platform-specific Percussion Lab and recording functions are performed locally on the device.

7. Information Processed & Stored Locally

To provide its functions, the App locally reads or stores information such as:

Audio files and metadata you explicitly select or authorize;
File paths and security-scoped bookmarks needed to reopen your music;
Playlists, ratings, play history, cue points, loops, beatgrids, BPM/key analysis, waveforms, and library database records;
Settings, keyboard shortcuts, controller mappings, and MIDI device information;
Custom Percussion Lab kits and their local manifest/audio files on Mac, and sampler-kit data available to the supported platform;
Master recordings and recovery copies in your Music/AlyDeejay/Recording folder on Mac;
A local trial-start anchor in the device Keychain and StoreKit entitlement status received from Apple.

On iPhone and iPad, the App uses Apple security-scoped access and file-provider mechanisms for folders and files that you explicitly select. If your files are supplied by iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider may separately process or synchronize them under its own terms; the Developer does not receive them. On Mac, Percussion Lab may create temporary copies of dropped audio so the selected sound can be decoded safely. The App attempts to remove its temporary copies when they are no longer needed. Temporary operating-system files may also be managed independently by macOS, iOS, or iPadOS.

8. Apple StoreKit, App Store Analytics & Diagnostics

An internet connection may be required to load StoreKit products, begin the trial, buy the Lifetime unlock, restore purchases, or occasionally synchronize entitlements. These communications are between the App and Apple services. Apple processes App Store and transaction information under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Stems may require an internet connection to Apple when first activated on a Mac. AlyDeejay does not send the selected track, separated audio, or music-library data to the Developer as part of that activation. Until activation succeeds, Stems may be unavailable offline on that Mac; afterward, stem processing runs locally. Availability and initialization behavior on iPhone and iPad are controlled by the compatible App build and operating system.

Apple may also process installation, sales, crash, and optional diagnostic information under the user's Apple privacy and diagnostics settings. Apple may provide developers with aggregated analytics or diagnostic reports. AlyDeejay does not add its own analytics or tracking to that Apple-controlled process.

9. Support & Website Information

Sorin Nae is the data controller for personal information submitted through AlyDeejay support channels or the Software Evolution website contact form.

If you contact us by email or through the contact form on the Software Evolution website, we receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, message, app version, device details, or diagnostic files you choose to attach. We use it only to answer your request, provide support, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or establish and defend legal claims. The legal basis is performance of a contract or steps requested by you, our legitimate interest in providing secure support, and legal obligations where applicable.

The website contact form is processed using Formspree, and the website is delivered through Cloudflare. Those providers may process form and technical connection data under their own policies and applicable data-processing terms. Further website processing, including optional YouTube videos, is described in the Website Privacy Policy. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information through support channels.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support and security records, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes, and is then deleted or anonymized where appropriate.

10. Your Data-Protection Rights

Because App libraries and audio remain on your Mac, iPhone, iPad, selected storage, or chosen file provider, the Developer normally has no server-side copy to access or delete. For personal information you voluntarily provide through support, applicable law may give you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to a supervisory authority. Requests may be sent to contact@softwareevolution.ro. Romanian users may also contact the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing.

11. Your Music, Recordings & Required Rights

You retain ownership of audio files and other content you select. Selecting a file authorizes the App to process it locally for the function you request; it does not transfer ownership to the Developer.

You are responsible for having all permissions and licences required to import, analyze, modify, play, publicly perform, record, reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use music and other material. AlyDeejay and its purchase do not include public-performance, mechanical, master-use, synchronization, broadcast, or distribution licences for third-party music.

On Mac, Master Recording captures the App's mixed master output, not the Mac microphone. A working recording is created in Music/AlyDeejay/Recording and, after validation, is delivered to the destination you selected. If delivery fails, the recovery copy may remain in that folder so you can retrieve it. Master Recording is not available on iPhone or iPad. You must verify the final recording before deleting source material or relying on it for delivery or publication.

12. Percussion Lab Inputs & Generated Kits

Percussion Lab is available on Mac. It processes the one-shot selected by you locally and generates rhythm variations from it. Unsaved rhythm ideas are temporary; saved kits are written locally to your Music/AlyDeejay/Custom Percussion Kits folder and can be loaded into sampler pads or deleted by you. iPhone and iPad include sampler performance but do not generate new Percussion Lab rhythms.

The Developer claims no ownership over your imported one-shot or your saved generated kit. Your rights in a generated result remain subject to the rights attached to the source sound and to applicable law. You are responsible for ensuring that the source may legally be transformed and used. Generated patterns are not guaranteed to be unique, exclusive, copyrightable, or free from similarity to other rhythmic patterns.

13. File Modification, Local Storage & Backups

Where supported by the platform, when you explicitly save hot cues, ratings, or tag edits, the App may write metadata into supported audio files. It also stores local library, analysis, MIDI, recording, and custom-kit data according to platform availability. File formats, permissions, storage faults, external editors, file-provider or cloud-sync tools, or interrupted writes can cause failure or inconsistency.

Keep independent backups of irreplaceable music, recordings, databases, mappings, and custom kits. Do not rely on the App or a single device as the only archive. Removing files, revoking file permissions, changing file locations, deleting App data, removing a file provider, or uninstalling software may make locally stored information unavailable.

14. Stems, Beat Analysis & Generated Results

Stem separation, BPM/key detection, beatgrids, Harmonic Live recommendations, cue suggestions, waveforms, Automix decisions, and Mac Percussion Lab outputs are computational estimates. Results vary with recording quality, musical structure, source material, hardware load, and system configuration. Stems may contain bleed or artifacts, grids and cues may require correction, recommendations may not suit the intended transition, and generated rhythms may not suit every track. Review results before performance, recording, export, or file write-back.

15. Live Performance, Controllers & Audio Hardware

AlyDeejay is designed and tested for live use, but uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed for every Mac, iPhone, iPad, controller, audio interface, aggregate device, driver, cable, hub, power arrangement, storage device, file provider, file, or venue configuration. On iPhone and iPad, separate master/headphone routing requires supported class-compliant multichannel audio hardware and may require independent power. Test the complete setup before an event, keep the Apple device and audio hardware adequately powered and cooled, retain backups of music, and maintain a practical fallback playback method.

Third-party hardware, drivers, operating-system behavior, and firmware are outside the Developer's control. Compatibility references identify tested or intended use and do not imply affiliation, endorsement, or a guarantee that every revision will work identically.

16. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

The App, source code, interface, documentation, built-in content, and proprietary components are protected by intellectual-property law and are owned by or licensed to the Developer, except for clearly identified third-party components and rights. All third-party product, controller, software, and brand names mentioned for compatibility are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only for identification. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.

17. Warranties & Mandatory Consumer Rights

The Apple Standard EULA contains the warranty terms applicable to the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlyDeejay is provided "as is" and "as available", and the Developer does not promise error-free or uninterrupted operation or perfect analysis results.

Nothing in these Supplemental Terms excludes, restricts, or replaces rights that cannot legally be waived. Consumers in Romania and the European Union retain mandatory rights concerning conformity, required updates, repair or bringing into conformity, proportionate price reduction, termination, refund, and other remedies, including rights under Romanian OUG 141/2021 and applicable EU law.

18. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any injury, damage, remedy, or responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

Subject to that rule and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost event revenue, reputational loss, failure to obtain music licences, third-party hardware or service failure, or avoidable loss of data where a reasonable independent backup was not maintained.

Any limitation of liability in the Apple Standard EULA applies subject to mandatory law. Nothing in these Supplemental Terms reduces a protection, remedy, or responsibility provided by the Apple Standard EULA or by applicable consumer law.

19. Updates, Availability & Meaning of Lifetime

We may provide maintenance, security, compatibility, and feature updates. Required consumer updates will be provided as required by applicable law. Other features, supported platforms and devices, minimum macOS/iOS/iPadOS versions, and interface details may change as the App evolves.

The Lifetime unlock is a non-expiring purchase entitlement, not a promise that the App, every platform-specific feature, online StoreKit service, or compatibility with future Apple hardware and operating-system releases will remain available forever. Where technically possible, an installed compatible version may continue to operate, subject to Apple services, system security, and applicable law.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect new features, legal requirements, security needs, or business changes. The revision date will be displayed above, and material changes will be communicated by reasonable means such as the website, App Store release notes, or an in-App notice in a future version. Changes do not retroactively remove a purchased entitlement or mandatory consumer right. Where law requires consent rather than notice, the change will take effect only after valid consent.

21. Suspension & Termination

Your licence may terminate if you materially breach the Apple Standard EULA or these Supplemental Terms, subject to applicable law. Termination does not transfer ownership of your music, recordings, or locally saved kits to the Developer. Provisions concerning intellectual property, user responsibility, privacy, liability, and dispute resolution survive where their nature requires it.

22. Governing Law & Disputes

These Supplemental Terms are governed by Romanian law, without excluding applicable conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections or courts available under the law of your country of habitual residence. Before formal action, please contact us so we can attempt to resolve the issue. Consumers may also contact the competent consumer-protection authority or European Consumer Centre.
